Calling all youth performers!

Get in on the ground floor of a new Springfield youth artist troupe! Sponsored by the Youth Performance Festival, this is a free, no-cost opportunity for youth artists (ages 8-18) to create original works of theater, dance, music, video/animation, and spoken word/poetry under the guidance of mentor artists.

From Sarah, the director of the festival:

We are inviting all interested youth artists and their families to attend a YPF Preview/Panel Discussion next Sat. Oct 28th, 2-3:30 at Make It Springfield, 286 Bridge St. We'll be sharing excerpts of the youth artists' performances from last year and mentor artists and youth artists will be there to talk about their experience and answer questions.

YPF-Springfield 2024 will kick off with an orientation on Dec 2, and meet on Saturday mornings for 7 weeks, Dec-Feb, at Make-It Springfield where the youth artists will be guided in the creation of an original (group or solo) performance piece, with the final performances happening at the Northampton Center for the Arts on Feb 10 and 11.
