Collective Education & Allyship
At Out Now we learn & grow in community, with each other, with friends & chosen family, with allies & partners. We challenge each other, fight for our rights together, and support each other.
We are the ones we've been waiting for
If you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, queer, neutral, intersex, or questioning, you know that being outside cultural norms can be painful, confusing, and even dangerous, especially for those of us in our teens and early twenties.
At Out Now, we know that our lived experiences – combined with our ability to learn from our experiences – makes us profound sources of knowledge, resiliency, and power. We are the experts of our lives! Together we can help heal each other, impact our community, and create change.
We've got you
Do you know how to find people like you? Your rights at school and in the community? Important LGBTQ folks in politics and history? Do you think about racism, ableism, sexism, transphobia, and/or homophobia, and about the intersections and connections between these issues – in your life and in the lives of others? Are you looking for a place where you can engage with these ideas?
Then join us. At Out Now you'll find safe spaces & places that allow you to explore inner landscapes, or participate in popular education groups, or agitate with others against structural barriers of oppression.
Out, out now, not out (maybe not ever?), questioning, dedicated ally - you'll find sanctuary here. (((link to events/location)))
You'll also have the opportunity to work in coalition with local & regional organizations on issues and projects that matter to you. Often we're stronger when we band together, joining forces with allies who share a common vision & hope. Out Now regularly seeks and forms partnerships to advance common causes and effect community change.
